Drawing on or filling in the eyebrows has become as much as a fashion statement as the Little Black Dress. There are no negative connotations associated with the need to draw or fill them in as fuller eyebrows are definitely in style – but how exactly do you draw the perfect eyebrow?

The first stage is to make sure that you have the perfect coloured pencil. Hold the pencil vertically at the point where you would start using tweezers (in line with the inner edge of the eye and the outside of the nostril) and make a small dot to mark where the brow will start. Before beginning to draw, slant the pencil to the outer corner of the eye and mark this point, as this is where the brow will end. To plan out the arch of the brow, hold the pencil in line with the centre of the pupil and place a dot on the line of the brow bone – this will be the highest point of the eyebrow.

The next step is to create the outline of the brow, by lightly shading the shape that you want it to take, and to fill it in, you can use small, feathery strokes to create tiny lines mimicking the hairs found in the eyebrows.
